In 2005, BACK-ON released their second mini album (EP) HERO. Now, I was going to do a long, overstated review, but is it even necessary? The majority of the songs on this said mini album are just recycled from their previous Adachi Tribe. There are some songs like Soul Shout (recorded live) that even come close to Ultimate Adachi (on this mini album, as on the previous). Soul Shout was even a demo, but it’s been lost to time.
Following the release of Adachi Tribe and HERO, BACK-ON went on subsequent tours around Tokyo and even the greater Japan. BACK-ON is still active today as their song Chair (yes, that is the song title) was used as a placement song in Kamen Rider GEATS. (Congrats, boys!) B/O is scheduled to be touring in November with Bring the Noise vol. 5.
What the future beholds for this band is unknown. Nobody knows what the new album sounds like (as singer Kenji03 has hinted at a new album, per recent interview). But what I do know is that B/O will continue to transcend their own sound to new heights.
